Wireless Holdings Inc & Waveapth will not be owned by Sprint until FCC approval is received, a 3+ month process. Approach using 2.15 GHZ
for upstream and 2.5-2.7 GHz for downstream is solid. Sprint & WCOM
will not always be getting clear rights to 2.15 GHz spectrum in their deals as not all MMDS operators contracted for these in their markets
as was not vital for analog video operation. WIRL is pretty much alone in having gotten WCS 2.3 GHz spectrum for its upstream needs.
Basically need 130 MHz of seperation and interleaved channel band of
A-H channels from 2.5-2.686 require multiple ITFS parties to agree to
pre-data drawn contract changes. Access to MDS at 2.15 and use of
commercial MMDS E&F blocks is most likely for early deployment when and where already leased or owned by MMDS operator.
