Mark prior to the earnings release there are too many who make high predictions of what the earnings will be and then all os a sudden the analysts are making their whisper numbers in line with the predictions here at SI. I think that many here may be Dell's worse problem but every company should have Dell's superior earnings for shareholders.
Do people think they will get better earnings from cyclicals?? The business of beating analysts expectations is a ridiculous game.

Frank

I have more than a dozen May 45 calls and am not thrilled myself, but stop acting like you don't understand this and look into the mirror if you want to find someone to blame.

I sold more than 30x the May 45 calls. You have to go back to edamo's posts. Although the only apparent similarities we have are our shiny heads, aversion to risk, affinity with derivatives, and positions in Dell, he may be inclined to agree that "pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered..."

This is a wonderful market if you retain some sensibilities about risk and return. And Dell is second to none. Just don't expect it to walk on water every day. But stay long. As Stockman Scott and Kemble and Drone have reiterated, never bet against MD.

Best regards and good investing,

Mark A. Peterson
