My opinion only, and it might not be shared by Wall Street, but bad economic news is layoffs, sagging sales, unemployment. Good news is the opposite and we've had a lot of that.

This a.m., my college son walked into an employment agency seeking summer job using computers. Took a few tests. Employment agency asked whether he wanted a $12-an-hour job at PSINet (PSIX) or Federal Express. He decided on Fed Ex because it is closer to home. Employment agency told him to get his buns over there and start right away. I haven't seen son since.

Yesterday, another agency offered him a $9 job at a federal contractor. No telling what he might have come up with if he kept shopping. Jobs are plentiful. Also saw an ad in the newspaper seeking four high-level technology types for a company with a brand new IPO that just came out. The only thing that might slow these companies down now is a labor shortage.

DELL - I missed that "downgrade" otherwise I wouldn't have held these last 5 Jun calls. I lightened up slightly due to Ashok Kumar's comments... still got caught with half.
