South African plants do it for me. Proteas. Mesembryanthema. That really neat Silk Tree thing. Wish I could grow it here.
When I lived in suburban MD we would visit Mt. Sugarloaf and some nearby Appalachian state parks. Near Camp David actually. There were native "rhododendra" there too. Inconspicuous white flowers.
