They should have gotten Khomeni in Paris in the '70s.

If they'd left Mossadegh alone in the 50's it wouldn't have mattered. If we hadn't stuck them with the Shah - who blocked all avenues for dissent except fundamentalist Islam - Khomeini would never have been more than a sideshow.

He was moved form Najef in Iraq to France with the full blessing of the State Department. They even pick up the tab, and kept him there until they could place him!!

Andy, US State Department is ran by " incompetent people with too many college degrees. After having royally screwed-up, they retire, move to Subic Bay where they can smoke Indian Hem and contemplate
