Sure, they shopped CC but it was while they were doing the drilling for the pre-feasibility study and the POG was falling fast. They shopped the hell out of it but the majors aren't stupid (except when it comes to cutting their own throats via forward sales, but that's another story). The majors knew the POG was falling and weren't about to move until the dust settled and Bema had to deal on their terms. You and I would have done the same thing in their shoes. The key to the entire Aldebaran story has been, and always will be, the price of gold. If gold had held up, Bema would have been able to do a deal for Star at well above C$17.50 and we would all be happy as clams, but it didn't. End of story.
