On Jan 31, 1998 BAMM had
107 superstores (average size - approximately 20,000 sq ft)
31 Bookland stores (average size - 4500 sq feet)
27 traditional stores (average size - 3500 sq feet)

In Q1 1998 BAMM opened 1 superstore. The internet site was not yet open for business

On Jan 30, 1999 BAMM had
124 superstores (average size - approximately 20,000 sq ft)
27 Bookland stores (average size - 4500 sq feet)
22 traditional stores (average size - 3500 sq feet)

On a sq feet basis, at the start of Q1 1999 BAMM had around 12% more space as compared to Q1 of last year. Same store sales were up 4.9% and Revenues were up 14.3%

What is my point ?

BAMM's website generates negligible business (my guess is less than 1-2 MM in quarterly revenues). Is it a coincidence that BAMM does not reveal how much business it generates, # of unique visitors, # of registered users, etc. ?

Disclaimer - I am obviously short..

Regards.
