Well goodness, if my almost G-rated natterings about the color of odor garnered me TWO independent Dirty Looks from worldly married adult women ... you can imagine that I would be a little reticent to grant free rein to my twisted cognitive capacities on the subject of Pole Vaults. Just imagine the outrage if my avowed ability of synesthesia were to weave the unavoidable topic of flavor into that skein.
