Hal,
This is for some of the people who have stuck with Ampex since the keepered days. As you may know Micronet makes hard drives and not just the large raid types but those you might use to upgrade your computer. Anyone have one? Here is a link to a list of drives they make.

micronet.com

How do they compare to the market? Any chance that they use keepered tech, or that they will in the near future? Gus please step in!

PS: Take a look at the site. Some products I wasn't aware of.

A question for you!

In the Chairman's Letter, Mr Bramson said,

"Our strategic interest in Reiter stems from the possibility that e-commerce will be the most important source of profit on the Internet, and that it could be useful to have in-house expertise in this field. Our initial investment represented 20% of Reiter's stock with an option to acquire a majority. We will be exercising this option after the end of the first quarter and Reiter will become a majority-owned subsidiary of Ampex at that point."

I have seen no mention of taking the position in TVW first, nor has there been any further mention of Reiters. Although common knowledge that the intent to take a majority interest in all the affiliates was a sure thing, I suggest a strategic change in the plan indicated by todays news. This was the time for the Reiters Announcement, not TVW!

Any comments?

I suggest something impending and imminent for TVW.

<<As the story unfolds, most of it should be good news in my opinion - over time. Personally, that's why I am hanging in.>>

I'm not going anywhere either Hal. Would not be one bit surprised if there was an IPO or two in the future. At the very least, a viable business model that shows dramatically increasing revenue and profits eventually (for all divisions/affiliates). It's a great story that stirs lots of imagination and speculation! This is the most intriguing company. I wouldn't keep buying on dips if I thought we didn't have a good shot at success.

It's about time that Ampex got out of that "everything goes wrong" phase and rewards those shareholders that have hung in there. I'm sure that Bramson wants only the best for all shareholders. It's very comforting to know how deeply invested he is in this venture. Good luck!
