Samir, I own a slug of Dell puts: May 32 1/2, 35 and June 40s and 35s. When or if I sell is determined by price and my Mays are probably dead meat.

I tend to roll down the same day I take the profits if I expect a huge winner in the dying stock. That is how I got the May options I now hold. If there isn't much left, as in Compaq right now, I sometimes sell my winners and hope for a bounce. I think Dell is a teenager on fair value, so I roll them down almost immediately. However, it also depends on how many I have in place. I am more likely to roll one third of a full position than 1/3 of a 1/3 position.
