Hawaii, I have not been able to get to a link that actually shows the registration. Someone posted that IDT will own 67% of N2P. Would you mind summarizing who is getting the rest and how much will be sold to the public.

TIA

Jay

If Softbank, AOL, and GE make their own separate announcements, and as suggested WSJ, CBS, et al. pick up the story, can anyone tell me why this wouldn't sell like an internet equity? (i.e. up $21).

OK, OK now that I am a little calmer I would be pleased with much less.

PS thanks Hawaii for all the dd, I read many of your posts as well as HHBB, and KSE when I purchased a lot more shares than I thought I had the stomach for. Also being a shareholder of VOCL, I have had a significant amount of gastric reflux going.

I think we made some bucks here gentlestrangers.

i just wanted to congratulate you and a few
others here on a great thread. the information
posted here by (mainly) you kept me around and
caused me from seeing this as a quick trade to
an intermediate holding in my portfolio. hopefully,
yourself, myself and all other longs here will
benefit tomorrow.

with your great DD, you deserve it. Great work.

Hawaii you are incredible! nine times out of ten the market action tells the tale. In this case Hawaii 1; Market 0. Once again I personally am wrong about Yahoo, oh well. GE capital is an interesting partner.

Net2Phone files for an Initial Public Offering

IDT announced late this evening that its subsidiary, Net2Phone, has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of common stock.
Details related to the number of shares and the price were not revealed. However its public offering is widely viewed as one of the most eagerly awaited one. Forbes ASAP recently ranked IDT the fourth most dynamic company in telecoms, calling the service provider 'The King of Change'.

The Internet telephony service pioneer is the current leader in retail IP telephony market, with nearly 9% market share of the global VoIP minutes. It is expected to make a turnover of approximately $45 million in the year 1999 according some of the financial analysts.

Net2Phone was the first to provide PC-to-phone Internet telephony service back in 1996. The service provider has since forged marketing alliances with leading companies including NetScape, Excite, Yahoo!, InfoSpace.com and IBM expanding its customer base to about 1.5 million level.

Nearest competitors include AT&T Jens and Delta Three. The latter - a subsidiary of RSL Communications - is also is a process of issuing as IPO.
