"The next stage will be to image-enable the workflow system by integrating the system with Altris, so that the information we currently receive in paper format can be scanned in and incorporated into the process," concluded Elaine Anderson. "We took the decision at the installation stage not to include a document management solution as we felt that Staffware workflow itself would actually provide us with the business solution we required at that time."

Usually most, not all, workflow projects that have been implemented over the past 10 years have been paper driven. Interesting and refreshing to see one that isn't.

There are a number of StaffWare and Altris sites, some due to the relationship with Data General (where I hail from long ago) - DG OEM'd Altris and had a similar relationship with StaffWare.

FWIW, we pulled DG's OEM of Altris WinTrack out of one of our clients a couple of years ago but kept Staffware.

Not sure what's happening with the DG imaging business unit or their relationship with StaffWare.

To my knowledge there is no formal relationship between Staffware and Altris (or anyone else for that matter).
