We will see how much competition TNT2 will give V3. But if 3dfx can manage $600 rev this year, then it is a real bargain at these prices. This number implies shipments of roughly 500k chips this year, which is not too far from the current levels. Can 3dfx maintain such a momentum? I guess time will tell, but I sure wish I could tell it before hand <g>

I am not sure what brought about the last minute rally. TDFX gapped down in the morning and stayed there while everything else was going up. It did not fall any further when the market sank around 2pm, nor did it rise in tandem with the market later on.. So I don't think it was the Fed or the general market's action that gave it the bounce.

BTW, what happend to the great announcement at E3? What was it?
