TO ALL:

Following is a post from RB by Jas, which IMHO bears reading, rereading, printing out and saving to look at when you think the market price is deserting you.

It is an excellent, thoughful summary of where we are:

Good evening everyone,

I've got a lot on my mind but to be honest...I don't know where to
start. This thread was started nearly a year ago by Snackman. Think
about where we were a year ago. We had invested in a company that had
an idea and some patents. There was absolutely no way of knowing
whether or not this company's idea of digital distribution would ever
catch on. Heck..in order for our company to become a success...we had
to achieve mass deployment....but how? Why would any major company
want to deal with some no-nothing company who was barely getting by
on a shoe string? Could such a company build the huge network between
various OEMs and content providers that would be necessary for it to
become a success? Was the system...and it was not a system back
then...good enough to compete with the other solutions that were
around...ie software solutions? Heck...they still had to convince the
world that a hardware solution was the way to go. Even if they could
get some to listen...was the infrastructure in place that would allow
this company to grow?

Well, lets see what has taken place in the last 12 months...

1) Digital distribution....this appears to be one of the FASTEST
growing areas in the internet sector. You just need to take a look at
the Music and video(pay per view) sectors.

2)Deployment...HAUP TV cards will be available in the next 2-3
weeks. Modems from Actiontec will be available by the 4th quarter
THIS year. Atmel has announced that it will place Embassy onto their
silicon by 1st quarter 2000. HAUP will have EMBASSY on their DIGITAL
cards by the fall of THIS year. Steven mentioned to some of our
friends at E-3 that ther WILL be PC's with EMBASSY in them by
Christmas of THIS YEAR! FREE PC has announced that they will place
EMBASSY onto their PCs...(BTW...Anyone know who is building the PCs
for FREE PC? :-))

3)Working relationships ...Ask yourself...why would FREE PC place
Embassy onto their products? Now ask yourself what cost the CEO of
Compaq his job recently? Is there any reason that would drive the
various PC manufacturers to place EMBASSY onto their respective
products? Why has NEC already announced that they will ship THIS
year.

4)Network of ... oKI/HAUP/ACTIONTEC/HWP/NEC/POLLEX/RSA/SUNW/SARNOFF/
...This is surely a very impressive list of partners. However, does
this list tell us anything about the potential scope and magnitude of
what WAVX is attempting to accomplish? OKI/SMSC/ITE....they will
produce the silicon. SIGMA/IGST are working together on a number of
projects with MAJOR OEMS...and we know that they will place EMBASSY
onto their products as soon as the chips become available.
HAUP/NEC/HWP/Actiontec/ATMEL have announced that they will place
EMBASSY onto their products. Yes I know that I have included HWP in
this list. The reason I did so is based on the comments that Mr.
McGowan(Versecure chief) made a couple of months ago. SUNW/ATMEL
...they allow EMBASSY to be used in the arena of SMART CARDS.
Verisign allows EMBASSY to have the ability to work with Digital
Certificates. Pollex/NEC provide Embassy the capability to use
BIOMETRICS. RSA...what needs to be said about this company?

5) Hardware vs Software...The only word that needs to be used is
....I N T E L. When INTEL announced that the world of e-commerce
NEEDED a HARDWARE SOLUTION...it did something that the SPAGUES could
not do by themselves in nearly a decade. All of a sudden...the
standard became the HARDWARE SOLUTION! Then INTEL gave us another
gift. They outlined all of the capabilities they wanted to place onto
their security chip...and I forgot to mention...they hope to have it
ready by 2001. Funny thing is that EMBASSY IS AVAILABLE IN 1999 and
does MORE!

6) Infrastructure...Many have asked the following...If the product is
so good...then why haven't they shown any real revenues in over a
decade of pushing their product? The answer is very simple...THEY
WERE YEARS AHEAD OF EVERYONE ELSE! Folks...think about all of the
mergers that have taken place over the past 12-24 months in the
TELECOMMUNICATIONS sector. What has taken place in regards to
bandwith(sp)? What has taken place in the storage capabilities of
PCs? What has taken place with the STB sector? WAVX HAS THE POTENTIAL
TO BE INVOLVED IN SUCH A VARIETY OF SECORS THAT IT IS TRULY MIND
BOGGLING(sp). Funny how the recent series of announcements seem to be
hitting in a variety of sectors.

7) inTelecast....PERHAPS THE MOST IMPORTANT PORTION OF WAVX.
Folks...why would Sarnoff want to form a joint venture with a little
company like WAVX? If people truly understood the direction
intelecast is going and what forces are driving it...they would be in
SHOCK!!!
PATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTS
PATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTSPATENTS

In short (pun intended)...we are all owners of a company that is
dealing with the GIANTS. Think about it for a second...why would one
GIANT want to deal with a small company that is already dealing with
a GIANT? Could we actually have something that they want?????????????????????

Sincerely,

Jas

Thank you Jas.

Steve
