It looks like I will have to dip my toes into the registry. Another email from SecondCopy support: We would like to add registry backup in a future version. Meanwhile, you may try the Windows NT task scheduler in conjunction with the RegBack utility that comes with NT resource kit. what if one installs a program..makes new directories..does the program have to be reconfigured for the new directories? Probably have to just select the new folders to be included.Or install new app in an existing Second Copy participating directory. I will try to fit it in between corbels Of course..say no more. I definitely intend to try 2copy myself. I just need to have a more structured environment to add it to. Clarence

ZP Mirroring is an interesting side issue Here's a couple more to consider I think. Auto Mirror and BxCopy. Primarily because they will backup/mirror selected files that are still open. 2Copy skips open files as does BE as well. Theses apps are real-time backup apps although one can choose to execute only during idle periods. I don't know how the destination disk looks whether reformatted or not. They're also priceier than 2Coyp. I'm interested in your opinion. I found BEs inability to handle open files pretty bothersome.
