Fred I am over 50% up for the year shorting and the market has been rocketing from the beginning of the year. Can you imagine what will my return be once Mr. Market crashes.
Puts game is like venture capital you have a bunch of losers but the one winner pays for the losers and makes a nice profit. How is your dead DELL money doing?

Fred, A bit of remedial math may help you undestand the concept. How does a 100% loss on IBM puts rank compared to a 1400% gain on Compaq puts? How does a 100% loss on Dow puts rank compared to a 900% gain on Dell puts? How does a 100% loss on Schwab rand compared to a 700% gain on Merrill puts?

It would be nice to be right on every put decision, but that is impossible. However, the idea is to make money, not make cheap shot comments from the bleachers after you learn a couple of partial facts.

You've been taking trading lessons from Edamo again ("invariably expire worthless" sounds naggingly familiar). Just keep selling 'em; I'm grateful to folks like you for keeping volatilities reasonable. -mb
