A friend of mine who lives in Santa Cruz once told me he didn't mind the CA tax because he could just look at the check, double the tax, and have a nice, 17% tip calculated for him <g>. Go figure. In Va (4.5%) I can leave a better tip, get better service, and come out cheaper <g>. No sprouts all over everything, either <GGG>.

Alas, buy.com just told me that my Saturday afternoon 4416s order came too late, and won't ship till "beginning of June." I had a feeling I should have moved quicker. :) I'm a bit irked because the site showed stock all the way through Monday, if I'm not mistaken, and they usually update during the weekend. (Incidently, one improvement the site desperately needs to make is live updates. That would save them a fortune in customer services calls and oodles of customer goodwill.) I'm not even sure it will ship then, since others (acc to BBS's) have apparently been told it'll take until July for them to get more. This could just mean that the live backorders will ship, earlier, but that they have too many to even take more orders for now. So, looks like I'll be drooling a while longer. Good show, Spots--your quick trigger finger paid off. ;)
