The TTM earnings is 0.58
Yahoo says projected FY Jan00 earnings should be 0.73

So a price of 44/0.58 = TTM PE of 76
And 44/0.73 = FY Jan00 PE of 60

The PE of 55 is probably for the next 12 months.
