EH= pronounced AY (similar but not the same as huh) That was truly masterful... very lucid! Now that you mention the "AY"... It does remind me of the VERY COCKNEY "OY YOU" or "OY MATE Please forgive my assumed spelling of it, since I really don't know it, I am using "phonics" to come up with the above spelling... and my use of vowels, (given my Latin origin), is more logical <g> than the English based use of the same.... I wonder, then, if the Aussie "No Worries Mate" would have the same Cockney roots.... sounds to me like yes... I liked all the possible meanings of "Eh" very, very rich.
