Its a tough one to figure out this 17b rule. This isn't a newsletter or advertisement. This is discussion, and it hasnt been ruled that every time a employee or consultant opens his mouth about his company he needs to disclose his compensation.

I can imagine it...your at a cocktail party, your introduced to someone and your asked, "what is it you do"? You reply with a long drawn out disclosure...Im employed by such and such, i receive compensation as follows..."

Most of us are aware that the SEC came down on some 40 or so internet newsletter authors, as well as television programs for failing to disclose as under rule 17b. Prior to that most of you never even heard of 17b EVER!!!!! Now we are all experts on 17b?

I hope that the SEC never rules that prior to engaging in a free discussion forum you need to disclose as per rule 17b. Because cocktail parties will become ruined!!!
