ecman, ETrade I placed a premarket order with ET for 9000 shares to add to a position at 7:30 AM this morning: 1. The procedure was simple. 2. Expect the order will be filled at the open. 3. Placed a limit order at the ask. 4. on screen alert will notify me when the order is filled. Old Broker: 1. Answering machine informs me the office is closed until 8:30 2. 8:30 call: I am sorry, our brokers come in at 9:00 3. I can have him call you after the morning meeting. 4. 10:00 he finally calls. 5. What do you want more of that stock for? 6. Hold on I got a call! 7. Let me tell you what's on our recommended list. 8. Hold on a minute, I have another call. 9. Did you see Seinfeld last night? 10. One of my customers really likes MO, I think his cousin knows someone that works there. 11. Hang on, my phone keeps ringing. 12. What a pain in the neck that guy was, he argued about the $1000 commission on his 9000 share order. Can you believe it, he spends big bucks and bitches about my piece of the action.
