this is by no means an original thought but does seem to explain what is going on with dell...

shareholders became so used to ++50% revenue growth that anything less is seen as a failure... not realistically sustainable forever...

hwp shareholders, on the other hand... i don't really follow this one, but haven't they become used to disappointment, so any kind of rev growth at all is a pleasant surprise??

perception, and expectation, realistic or not... rule in this market i guess...

Yeah people expect great things from dell and meeting the Est. earnings at .16 was not what they had in mind. BTW any pull back to the 40 range is just another great opportunity to buy at a reduced price. Long on dell and not worried.
