Peter, yes I agree bestsellers are probably 3% of online sales but the question was what % of in-store sales. In-store is much higher than 3% since there is less available and more importantly no information other than current bestseller lists as referrals. This move will hurt the stores. The onlines don't have as much to lose. Its only 15 titles anyway.

Bertelsmann <BTGGga.F> mulling AOL float - paper
BONN, May 19 (Reuters) - German media group Bertelsmann is
mulling a possible flotation of its stake in online service AOL
Europe, the Handelsblatt business daily said on Wednesday in an
advance report from its Thursday edition.
Handelsblatt quoted a Bertelsmann spokesman saying that AOL
Europe was a "possible" candidate for a float after the
offering of Bertelsmann's holdings in U.S. online bookseller
barnesandnoble.com and multimedia services provider Pixelpark.
AOL Europe is a joint venture between Bertelsmann AG and
America Online Inc. <AOL.N>.
The report also said that AOL Germany was planning price
cuts, with a flat fee of 19.90 marks per month to be introduced
from September and a phone rate of three pfennigs per minute.
