Yes I looked. Could find no difference in XOMA today. It is the same company it was yesterday and a year ago. Yes the stock has gone up but tell me what has the company done recently that is so important?

My point yesterday was that the VD portfolio insist on each company having an interest in a key area, the demonstrated science and the management to make it an outstanding company. To include a stock just because it is going up might be fine for a momentum portfolio and some others but probably not for a biotech portfolio.

I am long XOMA. I am not easily embarrassed. I like the company. My lack of understanding of the relative value of the science of various biotechs is a big help in my selection process.<g>
