SWC is best as a Palladium play, and we have discussed this on the
SWC thread and the Platinum Group Metals thread if you want more info. It will react to Palladium's moves more efficiently than Platinum's moves because its basically the only Palladium play out there, and second, Palladium has been a violent mover over the last 2 years due to the whole russian supply thing. This was witnessed most recently on April 30th, when Palladium dove around 10% and SWC followed it lower that day straight from the open, down 3/8 at the bell and over $2 at mid-day, making for a fine trade. While I know that SWC is the only significant producer of Palladium in the western hemisphere, I am not so sure about their position in the Platinum market - I thought Inco offers Platinum, too.
Does Johns Mansville still have an ownership interest in SWC?
