This "broadband" on the road issue is a not-issue. Broadband LAN technology. LAN requires LAN access points. If you need high bandwidth at home, but sometimes need to be portable, do you decide not to pay for the bandwidth?

I do require portability, so I will maintain my Earthlink subscription and am getting ATHM next week. If I need them both, I shall have them both.

(DSL isn't portable either.)

With @Home's Dial-Up Access service, you can use a telephone modem to connect to the Internet and @Home. Dial-Up Access lets you view and work with both the @Home service (including email, news, and content features) as well as other Internet resources, including all your favorite Web sites, news sources, chat rooms, and such.
