Yes, there have been some preliminary speeches from DC and congress is reviewing the school violence situation. The solutions I am picking up seem to be more government controls (security gates, electronic surveillance, metal detectors, more counselors in the schools, etc). No where am I hearing that the responsibility is mine or yours to raise responsible citizens or to take responsibility for the behavior of my children. So, looks like we just need to fork over some more tax money and the state will take care of everything for us. No problem, we have a nice economy and everybody is happy. Just doesn't figure that the middle/upper class kids want to kill each other. Hmmm..... it was never a problem before when we only had the lower class minority kids driving by and shooting other innocent kids in the urban districts by the hundreds. Now its a problem though. Sure am glad the country's role models are flying in to tell us how to fix it.
