Credit Suisse report. Jeff

Applied Materials (AMAT, $63.31, BUY) Target (12 Months): $80+
Big Orders, Sales, Earnings; More To Come
Record Orders In Q2 May Be Surpassed In Q3 And Q4 - At $1.39BB,
orders grew 35% sequentially, paced by North American and Taiwanese
foundry demand. Lesser sequential gains are likely in Q3 and Q4.
DRAM below 30% of orders now.
Vigorous Revenue Ramp Continues - Q2's $376MM sequential revenue
uptick will be followed by a gain of roughly $250MM in Q3. Look
for the pace to settle down if orders flatten out in H1:00.
Over 20% Operating Margins In H2 - Gross margins could reach 48%
(vs. 46.3% in Q2) this quarter. Discretionary spending will not
keep pace with top-line growth, suggesting 22%-plus operating
margins in both Q3 and Q4.
