You can say that again! Is this bizarro world or something? If one were inclined toward conspiracy theories, one might blame huge players who write millions and millions of dollars worth of options, taking in the premiums and artificially suppressing a price rise until after Friday. A strategy might be built on just that theory. To some extent, certain market action while perhaps not fully 'explained' is at least presented on Ben's Max-Pain [TM] site. I always like to investigate the greed factor, i.e., who has the most to benefit when market events don't seem to come into line in the short term. Of course, lots of theories have at that.

RO

ps When amat turns way up by end of day today I retract all conspiracy theories and become conscience calmed as all is right in the world again.

67 may have been highs for the near term...............

Triple top may be in order if amat doesn't take out that the $72 mark...... YOU exactly right when you say "I would hate to have seen what would have happened if Amat came in with 32 cents or lower with the FC est. at 27 cents".....

Not a good day ,since it open at 67 and went down with no bounce or reaction to the upside,,,,,like a dead cat...????TRIPLE TOP????

Or a little over done since the move from the 40's as recent as 2 and a half weeks ago????

ALL and all not a good day when you look at the numbers presented...... Maybe with DELL (the major leader) having a bad outlook going forward,,, they believe the Turkey is cooked...stick a fork in it... or something like that!
