forever and the thread...please don't misunderstand my postings..

i am very bullish on dell, it is a premier company, but in the real cruel world of equity markets controlled by those of less integrity then dell, you can't allow the "lessers" to constantly back you into a corner and demand that you prove the obvious.....it is easy to get caught up in visions and cultures but this ain't jerry garcia...gerstner came out strong as did platt, in the very language that the markets understand...i'm not advocating any change in dell, for who am i?, i just request a "reality check" on the part on dell pr machine............which appears a bit silent...

Just curious, cuz I wasn't around then--how did he handle the Europe fiasco? Dell got hammered for that--a while back? and realized it was a mistake and immediately retrenched, and apparently handled it brilliantly and DELL quickly recovered. I wonder if his youth is showing or he's been put in an impossible position.

>Like the silly comment on CNBC about being "overjoyed." Stupid,
>and perhaps, a wilful misrepresentations to the shareholders.

You are incorrect. He did not say he was overjoyed.
He was asked if he was worried about "the street's" reaction
to the upcoming numbers, and he said he could not predict
if they would be overjoyed or not.

About the only thing correct in your statement is that he
used the word "overjoyed" in a sentence.

But surely he is still learning the game, but IMO is a very quick study.
