Voodoo3 3500TV Review Don't know if it's already been posted, but just in case.... agnhardware.com The juicy part.... >>What was genius on the part of 3Dfx was to add a "break-out box" to the unit. 3Dfx has replaced the 15 pin monitor connection with a proprietary connector which runs to a heavy gauge Y-connector. One end of the Y terminates in a standard monitor connection while the other stretches to the box (3Dfx had dubbed this a "Video I/O Pod"). On the Pod one can find NTSC & PAL input/output, Stereo audio inputs and outputs and Digital video inputs. With these types of inputs and outputs, the Voodoo 3 3500 TV may very well take a bite out of the business that the Marvel G200 and the All-In-Wonder has generated.<<

The Nvidia press release might not be wrong because I read somewhere that the transform and lighting functionality for the next gen 3dfx card was going to be on its own chip, separate from the core engine. The reasoning for this was so they they could change and update this functionality quickly as new desired features were determined. If this is true then they could also release a low end board with their new 32 bit color core and the release a high end board which had the new core along with transform and lighting functionality. Also I have read in a couple places one of them being Zanshins that the code name is not rampage but napalm. Eric
