. . . .On Software Sector. . .

Ynot, I think ORCL has been getting dumped from funds recently, since it was a non-performer lately. . .and I think this will continue. . .also, I expect all software companies to drop further, led by Y2Ks and MSFT over the next 5 months.

I was bullish on MSFT near-term, but am turning bearish on them. . despite Windows 2000. . .I am not as confident that they are going to be a winner in the new internet race either. . and with Linux being all the rage and many getting tired of Windows planned obsolesence . . .and the whole monopoly thing, in my opinion. . it will lead others lower.

I think Y2K stocks will suffer seriously this summer. I am not saying that all the software companies deserve to be reduced by 50 percent. . .but am saying that I think the sector will take a major blow this summer, alongside the internets, that are going to hybernate for the summer.

I meant teens. . . just like I said I was a buyer of CPQ at 19 and it hit 21. . .I believe Dell will trade below CPQ well before the end of the year.

Yeah, I tend to shake peoples theology now and then, but that's what keeps you on your toes. . .either you agree blindly, which I NEVER SUGGEST ANYONE DO. . . or you are forced to think about it for yourself and make your OWN decisions as to where YOU think a given stock or sector will be.
