I, for one, would be quite interested in the story behind this news tidbit:

5/18/99 Paine Webber reiterates buy on Micron (MU), lower 99 estimate from $0.87 to $0.13, lower 00 estimate from $4.07 to $1.61

Several questions immediately come to mind (and I'm sure there are many more):

Why didn't such a dramatic lowering of earnings estimates lead to a lower rating?

Why were the estimates lowered? Was the analyst "guided" by the company?

Why were the estimates lowered now and not yesterday or next week?
