The buzz over on the AMD thread is that AMD may buy Cyrix. Several questions spring to mind.

1) With what? They need their cash for other follies.
2) Why - to have more low end capability? In the era of shrinking prices?

My guess is that AMD may have found a new way to increase the magnitude of the red numbers in their quarterly reports with this possible move.

I know. Look at the "potential".
