I'm someone who adds to portfolio in little chunks, and I am ecstatic to pick this month's add as Dell on a 10% daily dip. Sure will look good next my 11 previous other Dell purchases over last 3 years. Also pulled trigger on adding GNET, another long term hold of mine. Look at the last few years. There are always dog times for Dell. Maybe this one has lasted longer, but how many DOG Years has Dell had in the last decade. Wait until everyone who starts out on a $500 emachine feels the jones for speed, etc. How many gov't and commercial contracts will use the sub1000 market ? Given my academic/departmental purchasing experience, when people aren't spending their own money, you have a hard time talking them into low end machines. Half the people in my previous department had to have high end machines every other year or so, but when you peeked in their offices unexpectedly they were playing a mean game of solitaire, or DOOM. Not to be judgemental, as Tiger Woods Golf is my game of choice.
