Latest Chipzilla(Intel) news is that there are more C chips than demand. This indicates AMD is taking market share and Intel over estimate of demand. We all know sub-1000 PC are hot so why is C chip supply vs demand up? Read the latest review in Maximum PC of CPQ AMD 6-III Prosignia. It get a "KickAss" rating of 9. They like its performance. Try buying a 3D tech PC from Dell. The lowest price is $1,600. This is a Pent III. The C chip equipped unit is $999. HP, IBM, and CPQ are selling 3D machines at far less than $999. People buying AMD now is for gaming, internet, and Word Processing. Dell is the lonely holdout to use AMD. Current Forbes Mag. talks how Dell wants in the sub 1000. To date, they can not do this with Intels C chip. I would not be short AMD with the possible prospect of Dell moving in.
