Kimberly, et al... any thoughts on WCEC at this point? I was kinda surprised it didn't move up MORE sharply on today's news of the Lycos deal, wondering if word just hasn't gotten around yet or if it's just not considered to be as big a development as it seemed. Care to offer any analysis or forecasts? TIA...

Vagabond

(BTW, regarding AGRS: Can anybody think of any other stock that's run-up more than 2000% in two days, and CONTINUED to climb (or even SUSTAIN its gains to-date)? Can't help feeling a little nervous about it at this point -- obviously it's great for those who got in low, but I worry about potential big losses for more recent buyers if things suddenly start to seem "anticlimactic" from here-on...)

OK. Thanks for the explanation. I want to keep any posts on your thread "up-front". In other words, if I have it I'll sya so and when i had it. For instance my next big play is with HSNS. I just seem to keep buying this one. At 3, @ 2 and even a bunch @ 1 1/2 a few weeks ago. heck, I bought 2000 more shares today @ 2 5/8.

I have also kept my eyes on, and have bought AHWY. These are my two personal favorites now. I just got into AHWY about a week ago after it fell. Bound to get going especially from the trades I have been reading (Not directly about the company per say, but about the industry.) Do I know a lot about these companies I have bought. Not really. I just try to use timing, my knowledge of the industries in general, and some good old fashioned intuition.

This is a heck of a lot better than playing blackjack, and more interesting. So if I ever mention any companies, believe me, I have not discussed things over with the owners, I just read a lot, and go with my gut. So far stocks like ACCR, WLGS (from your thread) FNHC SNMM, and CMOZ, and even little ININ have all done very well for me.

Since February, my personal portfolio has doubled, and to think I used to leave my money in the bank. So with the help of your thread and others, who enjoy regular discussions, not hyped up junk, we have an excellent chance of doing OK.

They said the internet sales will double this Christmasd season from last year, and total internet sales will amount to a whopping 2 percent of all sales!!!!!! Can you imagine the infancy of this. We haven't even been born yet. Good things are going to happen.

Software-Only Solution That Triples Internet Speed Now Available To Public, Says High Speed Net Solutions
PR Newswire - May 19, 1999 15:20

PACIFIC PALISADES, N.J., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- High Speed Net Solutions (OTC Bulletin Board: HSNS) has announced today that the public can now preview and download free browser plug-in for the latest version of the wavelet-based still-image software (4U2C), developed by Summus Limited on the company's web site, www.hsns.com.

The software-only solution to the bandwidth problems that many companies are attempting to solve via hardware reconfigurations, can provide up to three hundred percent faster downloads for users on the Internet. It allows web designers the opportunity to dramatically improve the quality of their content and realize substantially faster download speeds. Usage of the product also reduces storage requirements and can significantly reduce monthly recurring costs for bandwidth.

The 4U2C product also offers easy-to-use, product enhancements. These features now include (1) focus boxes where users can enhance clarity on specific areas; (2) the ability to compress numerous images in a batch process; and (3) the ability to magnify images without increasing the file size.

Summus Limited Chief Technology Officer, Leonard Mygatt, in a February 23, 1999, PC World news article explained why this product has the inherent ability to offer these benefits, "Wavelet images support regional focusing, embedded image enhancements and progressive decompression. This is possible because of how wavelet-based compression works, breaking images into layers of resolutions. This allows you to be very specific about the part of the image to which you want to apply processing."

This same technology can also be applied in hardware applications, including digital cameras, scanners, and storage devices. It can also provide significant operating cost reductions for storage and transmission in the medical-imaging industry while maintaining necessary quality and resolution of images.

HSNS discussed installation of the technology with one of the largest ISPs in the United States in the first quarter, yet made a strategic decision, due to the reallocation of personnel necessary to accomplish the task, to remain committed to agreed upon delivery times for the video electronic mail and streaming video products.

Due to the growing public demand for inexpensive, high-quality video transmission, broadcast and communication, the video electronic mail and video-streaming products have remained the top development and marketing priorities.

HSNS has pursued offering the still-image product to improve storage solutions for hardware manufacturers. The strategy is to continue presenting the technology's advantages to hardware manufacturers while pursuing a global strategic licensing partner that can aggressively deliver the software to ISPs, and web designers. Management also intends to pursue distribution relationships for both hardware and software solutions in the medical-imaging industry.
