Don't know about veggie wieners but the first all beef ones were introduced in Galesburg, Il. Right in the heart of hog country.

Speaking of wieners, wife #1 went on Weight Watchers so we had the nasty all beef dogs. That was ok, I was supportive. Then one night I was choking down an all beef and looked over and she was having lobster. It was her "fish night". Things got ugly.
