Things to keep in mind concerning AOL and broadband banter:

1. The DSL/Cable issue is far from over. Both camps say they will be first in standards and rollout. Bottom line, do you trust your cable service or phone service more?

2. Remember AOL's target demographic. Let me repeat that -- remember AOL's target demographic. We're talking middle America, where their bread and butter is reading e-mail and chatting. It isn't the sophisticated surfer who is ringing their hands waiting for the latest software/hardware and download speeds!

It's like Porsche or BMW saying "Hey look, we just designed the fast car on the market -- yours for $75,000 dollars!" Now, some might consider it, many won't even bother, and some would say it just ain't worth it.
