Von And: YES, THE MARKET VALUATION IS OF CONCERN..................
But comparing a world-wide communications (future) company - to MSFT
doesn't seem appropo to me. When my Dad was growing up in
rural northern Iowa...he told me that he had never seen an
electric light, there were no cars and flight was something
birds did...he lived to see "us" put a man on the moon - AND
bring him back...that ALL happened in 70 years... (I certainly
would not put ALL MY EGGS in the LVLT basket)...Have you read
the Annual report?
Best,
Don

Von, you need to draw your comparison to T and WCOM, rather than MSFT. I think that you'll find that LVLT and QWST are in the first stages of opening up a big can of whup-ass on the major players. In the end, WCOM will do well, too, but T is in big trouble...

Like Compaq, T will be hobbled by an unadaptable business model, while the rivals (i.e. DELL in CPQ's case) with pure refined models beat them to the best markets touting exponential efficiency and capacity.
