George - i stand by everything i have posted on this thread. i am not going to be pulled into a battle of minutae, trying to figure out whether someone has or has not made money during a certain period. I have been long and short USWB many time over the last year or so, overall I have made money, and more of it short than long, though it's not a major part of profits during the period. my overall point is that it is much more interesting and enlightening if we discuss the ideas that underpin a trade or investment, rather than the investment itself or the investor behind it. people need to make up their own minds about the quality of the information or analysis, rather than concentrate on the individual behind the information/analysis. since you can never know with any degree of certainty whether someone's thoughts are backed up by an actual position, it's just a waste of time to try to figure out whether they are making money or not. so, in the end, the real value in these threads is the exchange of ideas that can be used to assist in the investing process, rather than trying to create gods of people you believe are making money and discrediting those that you believe are not. if you have any ideas that can help me understand why you believe that USWB is a good long term investment, I am much more interested in those than playing the "my portfolio is growing faster than yours game". cheers. rick.
