but one word comes to mind: Duh.

You are referring to Intel's lost profits due to Celeron?

Try to take a step back and be objective.
1. AMD sells every processor they can make. Therefore Celeron does not impact AMD's market share.
2. Celeron caniballizes PII/PIII sales, costing Intel money.
3. The remaining PII/PIII sales have much lower ASPs because of Celeron.

Celeron is costing Intel billions of dollars. Market segmentation is a disaster for Intel. Barrett has got to go.
