Starting to dabble once again--MAVK, 1/2 MRL, 1/3 FLC....Would ideally like to see PDE back off to 7's-seems to setting up a right shoulder with left at 6, head at 5 and now right at what?---I keep looking at EEX but say to myself that this is roulette on George results, so I sit....PGO may bounce to say 16.50-17 but I think it will go lower still. VTS still too high for my blood..It becomes 'safe' to buy OSX's when crude dips under say 16.50--the buyers waiting in the wings are all camped out at 16 with big catchers mitts, so once we see 16.50, osx's should probably start to firm, in anticipation that the drop's almost over... RIG looks 1 more up/down coming I think ----I keep remembering Big's comment that OSX in total lost money 14 out of the last 17 yrs. Are we all nuts buying these things in here based on that??

I like RIG too at this price: minimal downside, perhaps $20, but unlimited upside if one is patient. I think it will be a couple of quarters of steady prices before big oil companies loosen the purse strings for more deep water drilling. When that becomes evident, RIG will soar, and I wouldn't be surprised to see $60-80 in late 2000, perhaps $100 by the end of 2001. Definitely worth the wait!

Slider,
The blowoff on RIG at 23ish(major support level) was very tempting. i agree that RIG is #1 buy in osx right now. I am looking at RIGHE or HX for entry IF oil can bounce back above 17. i see it drifting and the close below 17 today does not bode well short term. 16 is next support. I am still holding my SII puts. I am waiting for a big push down later this week.

oil TAwise looks like down is easier than up.http://www.digisys.net/futures/chart/ts_cha13.gif

Slider,
I'm buying MRL. I listened to the conference call yesterday and Rask said the 700 would be on time. I think it will pop, IF they do deliver the 700 on time. The conference call was very interesting, also talked about the reasons for the secondary offering. I'm also adding some more RIG.

Slider:

I picked up a little more FSESX today. Have a modest loss on recent purchases, but plenty of spare powder to buy more at lower prices. Recent nice profits in small cap funds have roughly offset my OSX loss.

Underestimating the degree of potential OSX selloff after a strong runnup is a mistake I will never make again.
