Sad indeed.
Murphy touted both the SCIO and AMLN "approval any day now" story right up to the point where they went over the cliff. I learned my lesson the hard way on AMLN and did enough DD on SCIO to miss being a Murphy-lemming twice.

Nevertheless, I find Murphy's recommendations thought provoking and was driven to SI as one avenue for DD after my AMLN fiasco.

Having gained some confidence on this thread, I am now a comfortable long in CEPH.

<I believe that Murphy reported that Chiron was confident that Myotrophen would be approved.>

Here's a blurb from NI:

"We believed up into March '98 that ultimately, public and congressional pressure wuld force the FDA to approve MYO, with mandated P4 trials. However even with Leber now departed from FDA's CNS divison, both his deputy Katz and Temple remain, and we no longer have any expectations for MYO." "CEPH is not spending any money on MYO."

You know, I haven't been as negative on Murphy as some, I'm beginning to conclude that he probably gets 1/2 of his ideas from MTSL, and the other half from other bio followers, maybe even on these threads. He has some great ideas, but he gets so carried away! He should state why he thinks MYO is back in play if he's going to state so, or he just looks flaky.
