The new PowerBook is not using a lithium polymer battery (it is lithium ion). The new operating system (8.6) has been tweaked to be very "fuel" efficient. When combined with the low power demand of the G3 processor that Apple uses in these notebooks you end up with long battery life. When Apple does switch over to lithium polymer the battery life will be incredible. Doug

How could Apple advertise a product that they haven't even received any batteries for?????... Wouldn't a PO have to precede their receiving batteries and having a product to deliver?

I would like this to be VLNC as much as anyone, but really, now....

If Apple were just announcing a new product, maybe...but an ad in USA today???!!!

That's too much of a stretch...but I wonder what kind of battery is in the thing.... That might be bad news..... But then, again....there's not another clear provider of LI-poly...so, it must not be Li-Poly...
