I saw a little blurb in Businessweek about
a company called Rooftop--wireless net. This
is about the only thing that has caught my
attention lately in all this constant barrage
of internet hype. So I did a few quick keyword
searches to see where I would be led.

Eventually I worked my way over to a local
communications company--Nextlink, it caught my
eye because I've heard of this McCaw fellow etc
etc. Anyway, it seems to me that it could be these
CLECs that would be the ones to best take advantage
of solutions like the rooftop internet radio. Right?

Okay, so I'm kinda getting interested, but I check
the stock--way up from last fall, negative book
value, waaay negative earnings.

This is pretty scary stuff. It will end badly.
And NXLK actually seems to be a reasonable
business. Imagine all the dot com's out there
that will just fail for lack of any business.
