I would like to see things stay as they are, but get cleaned up. . .we are just now beginning to figure out how the trading systems REALLY work. . . I would imagine that once the majority of investor/traders figure out how to make the most of their market days. . .the fat cats that pull all the strings behind the scenes of Wall Street will decide that it all needs changed to a highly complicated system that is far harder to catch criminals. . .but appears to be much easier.

They will not give up their edge. . . and Washington D.C. will just give them the nod to continue as they wish. . . for the sake of progress. Oh, it will be faster and more accurate allright. . .but for some unknown reason, it will just be harder to see any gains. . . remember that computer programs that perform automatic functions are DESIGNED by humans to benefit their creators most.

Like the software discovered to overcharge every 3rd person at the check out line. . .where was that? K-Mart? Same thing.

So I say, let's make what we can while we still can. . . I don't anticipate any changes within a year. . . tho NASDAQ will be trying some new things. . . perhaps Y2K will kill the whole thing "accidently" . . <smirk>
