Paul, Thanks for comments. Interesting scenario with Dell -- that would be a blockbuster deal ! As you note, GTW deal not exclusive and to large extent markets are distinct -- consumer vs. business. (BTW, I thought the market didn't fully appreciate significance of the GTW affiliation, as a step into a new arena and reflecting CMGI's perceived stature from the point of view of the "established" retail computer market. Noteworthy that the deal was done with CMGI, not Lycos per se.)

<<Less absurdly overpriced than Yahoo>> Well put !! I am also YHOO shareholder (my #3 holding but substantially below my positions in CMGI and AOL) but every time I see Steve Harmon's interesting "user - valuation model" for the portals, I flinch as YHOO is totally off the
charts !

Agree also that many Lycos individual properties may be not fully appreciated for niche significance -- Tripod and Wired properties among them.

For me still the big kicker would to see how things would unfold with CMGI morphing into a premier operating company / internet conglomerate while maintaining and utilizing its VC incubator IPO stream.

Thanks and good luck -

George
