The farther south the venue is, the more likely we are to come. Chicago - gosh, Idunno. Ozarks - help me out. What is there "there"? Restaurants? Hotel availability?

Thread, I'll have to admit right here right now that I am a particularly persnickety breed of housecat. Totally urban is obviously out, but really rustic scares me. It would be nice to have several food options within an easy drive. Vegas sounds cool if a bit campy. But I can deal with campy - especially since it's a hard day's drive away (no air fares - wheeee!) And I can turn the room's 'stat to eighty.
Destin or Disneyspot (world or land) top my druthers list. Gaugie's initial suggestions re New Mex do it for me also.
While Destin might be cool in September, a place like the Ozarks or Chitown are equally liable to swelter or freeze.

Okay. I've poured sand in the tranny long enough; I'll shut up.
