That's so insane...that we'd better be on guard for it. :-) Even in 1995, they only managed to close above $87.67 eight times, in the nine-session period of 9/7/95 - 9/20/95.

It was a nearly perfect inverted V price-wise, but very stealthy volume-wise. The jumbo volume day wasn't until 9/27 on 12M shares, the high volume day for the year at that point.

you think that few months ago $80 was justified?

Zeev, no, and that was why I pooted at 78. My most profitable option trade(s) since UAL back in '90. Ok, I see where you are coming from, although, I'm not sure how they can hide DRAM pricing. We are going to need a real turn in the supply demand equation which I am having a hard time seeing anytime soon. But some analysts might go with the program as evidenced by the recent slash in earnings estimates by Painless Webber while reiterating the buy rating.

I wonder if TXN, or even INTC for that matter, will go along with this program without selling into it. INTC has the RMBS deal they want MU to stick with, so they may not be too willing to jump the ownership.

And I will never underestimate Steroid Steve. I thought the AMZN 1.25 billion convert bond issue was a joke, at least MU has an ice cube's chance in hell of surviving, so strange things could happen. -g-

Regards, Ice

Zeev-You are absolutely right on with your MU $87+ target in 90 days!
The mysterious ways of the market almost always weave their way through important trading points for stocks when big financing transactions are at issue. You can almost bet with certainty - and I hate to use that word - but you can almost bet with certainty that some major houses will find a way through their trading desks to make this happen for MU! There is is just too much money sitting on the table for this not to happen. All bets are off after $90 - but from now till then you can bet at least a run at it is in the cards.

Good Luck To Each And All
